Solan Gundersen's Mountain Marathon is a race up and down through Alvdalsbygda for both young and old, and will take place on August 16, 2025. The start and finish are at Steimoegga Sports Facility, Huseidalen 37, 2560 Alvdal. Participants can choose between distances of 1 km, 6 km, half marathon (22 km), and full marathon (48 km) in the competitive class. The race is open to everyone, and there will be food and drink stations along the course, with a recommendation to bring your own drink between the stations.
